I Want to Win a Winter Trip to Batanes from SEAIR!

My Guiltless Getaways Blog Entry for SEAIR's Contest

Is there such a thing as winter in the Philippines? They say Batanes has four seasons! I'd love to find out for myself and for everybody who is as curious as I am. Every year, we flock to other cooler international destinations to escape the Manila heat. Locals frequent Baguio because of the high altitude and cold weather. We also go to Tagaytay because of its proximity to Manila and the cold weather. I love cold weather escapes because you know you're not in Manila anymore. Sometimes, we just want to get away from it all and get a sense that we are on vacation. Why not go to Batanes?

Do you know why some people book early flights out and late flights back? Some want to make the most of their vacation. I would arrive at the same answer if asked why I would choose to sit on a plane than spend a few more hours by land or at sea if I want to go to Batanes. If you badly want to go to Baguio already, wouldn't you wish there was a plane to take you there too? I don't have a choice regarding the mode of transportation when it comes to Baguio's topography and terrain but I do have a choice to trust SEAIR (South East Asian Airlines) to take me straight to Batanes. Now, isn't it cool that for the same amount of time to go to Tagaytay in a car, you can go to a less-populated and more serene Batanes via airplane too? We have yet to discover more beautiful getaways in our country that will take our breath away. How we get there happily matters too.

I do not want to be content just to go to a place where I have never been before as a traveller. I also do not want to write about just about anything as a blogger. I want to know a place deeply from the sights to the people to the food to the culture of that getaway. If there is a place like Batanes that will reconnect me to the simple beauty of everything around me, I would jump at any chance at this point in my life. I do not know what I will find in Batanes but I am sure I will make the most out of my trip and share it with the rest of the world as a travel blogger. Being with others who share my passion for traveling is like icing on a cake. Traveling there for free as a gift from those who have seen and experienced the beauty of our country is the ultimate cherry on top. We can really learn something memorable from everybody. I hope to tell you what I learned from the Ivatans of Batanes.

I want to be chosen for this blogger's trip to Batanes because of all the reasons I stated above. Thank you to SEAIR for giving me another wonderful opportunity to share my thoughts and express myself through writing. I choose to be a travel blogger guiltlessly, living my life to the fullest without any regrets.

Love,
Guiltless (Melody Co)
