Aspiring Filmmaker?

This Southeast Asian Student Documentary Award Competition is open to aspiring and young Filipino documentary filmmakers, students aged 18 to 28! It's an opportunity to bring out your talent and engage yourself in pressing social and environmental issues.

The contest is open to participants from Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines. This year's competition is themed "Tree{s} of Life, Seeds of Change". No filmmaking necessary yet to enter, only a portfolio of your work and an essay about your film under the theme.

Good luck, Young Directors! Submission closes on September 2, 2011! I love watching documentaries because it's a way to convey what is really happening around us. Maybe we'll see your masterpiece in the big screen after this!

Love,
GK
