Last year 2011, George Tapan from the Philippines bagged the prize for the National Geographic Photo Contest for Places. This year, the new winner gets to be in a Galapagos Photography Expedition, apart from the world recognition!

You have four categories to choose from this 2012: Travel Portraits, Outdoor Scenes, Sense of Place and Spontaneous Moments.
Participants have until June 28, 2012 (Entry Fee: $15) and July 11, 2012 (Entry Fee + $10) to submit their entries!
As you know, 2012 is the year for travel and travel photography!
