Once, I dreamed a dream that I could give travel and wonderful experiences to my readers. After more than 2 years, I'm not doing so bad haha. This blog isn't about being kuripot, as you know. It's about spending your energy and time to have worthwhile experiences! This time, I'm giving away TWO tickets to the advanced screening of Les Miserables to ONE fan! It's so advanced that you get to watch it this Monday at an SM Cinema with me! Thanks to SM Supermalls, SM Cinemas and e-PLUS for the invitation =) So far, we already gave away tickets to the Twilight Saga premiere and a concert at the Arena.
I'm a musical addict and I spent my trip to New York watching Broadway musicals twice a day hehehe. Les Miserables was the very first I watched as a kid on TV while on a Hong Kong trip (there was a cartoon about it before). I attempted to read the book and finished it a few years after hahaha. Did I tell you that my name was derived from months of watching musicals and concerts when my mom was pregnant? Enough of the history hahaha. Basta, I'm always looking forward to musicals and I hope you do to!

DeleteI love to watch musical plays but I have only watched few of them and my favorite is "Sound of Music."
ReplyDeletei think mas maganda ang sound of music sa movie.. they get to film in a lot of locations!
DeleteYes i watched some musicals like Miss Saigon, Cats , Katy the musical (the one with Mitch Valdes), and
ReplyDeletePETA's Caredivas. All of them are world class but my favorite is Miss Saigon and i hope they will adopt it into a movie. thank you.

DeleteI'm a musical/theatre nerd! First musical that I have watched was when I was in London's WestEnd and it was Mamma Mia! Then after which I watched Lion King and The Lord of the Ring Musical. It has now become an imperative that I watch a musical when I go to London. Latest that I watched from the WestEnd was "Ghost the Musical." But of all the musicals that I have watched, it was "Wicked" that I enjoyed the most and I hope they make a film adaptation of this.
ReplyDeleteWICKED and LONDON!!! Ingget ako hahaha.
DeleteSound of music :) reminds me of my childhood memories :)
ReplyDeleteme too.. the hills are alive... =)
DeleteI want the Billy Elliot to be turned into a movie, it's very inspirational.

DeleteI watch evita(film) starring Madonna so far itong movie na musical ang napanood at nagustuhan ko talaga.
ReplyDeleteHi Ms. Melody!
ReplyDeleteOne of the few things I'm very passionate about, musicals! Apparently, same as you, my parents were also musical enthusiasts, sooo I pretty much grew up listening to the wide array of them. :D My all time favorite ever since I was a little girl is The Phantom of the Opera! One of my inspirations to start singing. I first got to watch it when I was 7 years old back in San Francisco, then 2nd time when the production was brought here to Manila last year. Aside from that, I've seen the live productions of South Pacific, The Sound of Music, Cats, Aladdin, The Lion King, a local version of Miss Saigon, The Forbidden Broadway... The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. But the one I'm hoping will make it to the big screen next is Miss Saigon! Whew! Definitely excited for Les Mis! I've even done a cover of "I Dreamed a Dream" a few months back. :) Can't wait to watch it!
Thanks for another contest Ms. Melody! You're really pining down my favorites, haha! Cheers! :D
Les Miserables is my favorite! This being turned into a movie is a dream come true! It didn't hurt that it starred Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman! *LOVE* This would mean so much to me! xoxo Thanks GK!
ReplyDeleteI havent watch a musical show. But I hope to win this
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to watch this!!!! It is for sure a great adaptation!
ReplyDeleteIve seen The phantom of the Opera ( just last year at the CCP ) and The Sound of Music ( RWM )

Love to see the Flower Drum Song turned into a movie. Was able to see the musical with Lea Salonga as Mei Li.
ReplyDeleteyes.. the sound of music is one of my favorite musical play :) grabe.. im soo energetic that time because of the gres\at voicesof the singers mostly Maria :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in High School, we used to play in our English club the Les Miserables. I also memorized the poem. I have always had love and deep understanding for the Song 'On My Own'. :D
ReplyDeleteSound of Music. Super awesome! :D
ReplyDeleteI have no experience on watching musical play or musical movie, that's the reason I'm joining for this awesome promo because this is really interesting for me.
ReplyDeleteI never experience watching any musical yet. Even in our schools we don't have that's why I have been being independent in Highschool Musical and Pitch Perfect movies and even Glee. That's why this tickets are the number one memorable moments with my bestfriend who also wants to watch this amazing movie. Thank you! God bless ♥
ReplyDeleteRent is by far my favorite! :)
ReplyDeletei've seen the Evita with my parents when i was still a teenager and i loved it!
ReplyDeleteI've mostly experienced watching musicals if not live, then on TV. I grew up watching musicals like A Chorus Line, Rent, HSM, Beauty and the Beast, Hairspray, The King and I, Aladdin, and Annie. My lola used to be a big fan of musicals and broadway shows and she have managed to influence me. Well, The Sound of Music will always be my favorite since I've already memorized most of the songs by heart and it is something that my mom used to watch too as a kid. If there's one musical that should be turned into a movie, I guess it would be "Wicked". It's a musical wherein it shows a lot of different morals and values, and it's something which most of us aren't given the chance to watch because not all of us can afford such act on stage.
ReplyDeletei cant remember the titles that i've watched in afp theater and in star city! it was years ago! haha so excuse me for that but i really cant forget the sound of music highschool play of my batchmates, they were superb! and it was really fun and entertaining!
ReplyDeleteI'm also a huge musical fan! I grew up listening to Les Mis, and I've seen a couple of local productions of musicals (Next to Normal, Ave Q, In The Heights, Rent, etc), saw Wicked at Singapore, and Miss Saigon (I watched the one with Lea as Kim!), Cinderella, and Phantom of the Opera when they were brought to the Philippines by touring productions. My all-time favorite musical is Les Mis, but I haven't seen it live yet. My favorite musical for the past few years is Next to Normal and I would really love to see that turned into a movie. Also, I wish someone would restage Lean the Musical by Gary Granada because I would love to see that Filipino musical
ReplyDeletePhantom of the Opera! It's one of the best that I've watch! Wish to have a film adaptation of this musical!
ReplyDeleteOh, and about Billy Elliot, the movie came first, then they made it into a musical, but there isn't a movie made of the musical (kind of makes me think of inception :)) ). I'd love to see a movie of that musical too
ReplyDeleteof course i love Mary Poppins and Les Miserables! ♥
