International Silent Film Festival in Manila this August!

Not sure what to do next week? Go watch the 7th International Silent Film Festival from August 23 to 25! As the past years, there will be live music accompanying the film by Pinoy bands! Silent films from Japan, Italy, Germany, USA, Spain and the Philippines will be showcased.

Tickets are free and on a first-come, first served basis. The Shangri-La Cineplex ticket booth opens 60 to 90 minutes prior to every showing. It is advised that you contact the following ahead for RSVP:

August 23, 2013 (Friday)
7pm Keisatsukan by Tomu Uchida (Japan) - Band: Pulso

August 24, 2013 (Saturday)
5pm La Grazia by Aldo De Benedetti (Italy) - Band: Sino Sikat
8pm I Don't Want to be a Man by Ernst Lubitsch (Germany) - Band: Composers' Lab, Jonas Baes, Pierre Oser

August 25, 2013 (Sunday)
2pm The Phantom of the Opera by Aldo De Benedetti (USA) - Band: Razorback
5pm El Abuelo by Jose Buchs (Spain) - Band: Earthmover
8pm Kamera Obskura by Raymond Red (Philippines) - Band: Spy

I think what makes this different from the other silent film festivals is the music accompaniment by our very own top solo artists and musical groupsIt's a film festival and a concert too! Enjoy enriching your soul with these oldies!
