International Silent Film Festival This Week Starting Tonight!

Not sure what to do this week? Go watch the 8th International Silent Film Festival from today to Sunday! As the past years, there will be live music accompanying the film, this year by the Manila Composers Lab, Dr. Jonas Baes from the UP Diliman College of Music and German silent film musician Pierre Oser! Silent films from Japan, France, Italy, Germany, USA, Spain and the Philippines will be showcased.

Tickets are free and on a first-come, first served basis. The Shangri-La Cineplex ticket booth opens 60 to 90 minutes prior to every showing.

8pm City Lights (USA) - Band: Pulso

August 29, 2014 (Friday)
5pm Destiny (Germany)
730pm Verdun: Visions of History (France)

August 30, 2014 (Saturday)
5pm Love Everlasting (Italy)
730pm A Diary of Chuji's Travels (Japan)

August 31, 2014 (Sunday)
5pm Curro Vargas (Spain)
730pm Riddles of My Homecoming (Philippines)

I think what makes this different from the other silent film festivals is the live music accompanimentIt's both a film festival and a concert! Enjoy enriching your soul with these silent movies!
